Kronos Brings WFO Software to Press Ganey Partnership

Managing and optimizing your workforce is essential throughout all industries. Data can be used to analyze how productively employees are working, and workforce optimization (WFO) software solutions can be used to boost those productivity rates. While these are important things to think about across all industries, one sector where it is perhaps most important is healthcare.

Yes, it’s important to make sure everyone is working effectively in an accounting firm, but it’s even more important in healthcare, where actions directly impact people and their quality of life. That’s why Press Ganey has announced a strategic relationship with Kronos (News - Alert) Incorporated, a provider of workforce management solutions.

Press Ganey is a provider of patient experience measurement, performance, analytics and strategic advisory solutions for healthcare organizations. It offers the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), which is the only national nursing database that provides reporting based on structure, process and outcome indicators to evaluate nursing care at the unit level. It is used by more than 2,000 facilities and 40,000 nursing units, and more than 95 percent of Magnet-recognized facilities submit data to the NDNQI database and use its comparative data to meet their reporting requirements.

With this new strategic relationship, Press Ganey will bring its NDNQI together with Kronos’ Workforce Central solution to assess, measure, and analyze the impact of workforce characteristics and behaviors on both patient and caregiver outcomes, such as safety, quality, staff engagement and turnover. The organizations will work together to enable a subset of joint clients to participate in research and analyses on data that combine the two offerings.

After deciding to come together, Kronos took things a step further by creating an enabling technology that will make it easier for Kronos clients to transmit their data to NDNQI. This new solution will allow joint clients to spend less administrative effort on reporting data. The goal here is to enable staff to focus on analyzing their performance and acting on improvement opportunities, rather than worrying about how to submit all that data.

So far, the collaboration between the two companies has been impressive. They have each gone above and beyond to ensure that the reporting process is as simple and straightforward as possible for those clients participating. Kronos and Press Ganey are both dedicated to improving workforce operations, and look forward to the potential this partnership has.
